Virgin Atlantic’s Red Hot Reporters Get Inside the NFL International Series Game Between the New England Patriots and the St Louis Rams at Wembley Stadium

This year marks the fourth season Virgin Atlantic Airways is serving as the official partner for the NFL International Series game, and this week charters took off for London with the New England Patriots and the St Louis Rams onboard. After NFL events like fan rallies in Trafalgar Square and practices in the UK, the Rams and Patriots will duke it out in a match at Wembley Stadium this Sunday. As well as delivering players, coaches and support to the UK, Virgin Atlantic is sending Rams ‘Red Hot Reporter’ Jay Ingber and Patriots ‘Red Hot Reporter’ Erin Sharoni, winners of the airline’s nationwide talent search for superfans to cover the game.

Onboard the specially chartered flights to London with Virgin Atlantic, the teams and our Red Hot Reporters will enjoy customized menus tailored to fit the players’ diets, and the latest in-flight entertainment, including personal screens which feature media libraries with more than 300 hours of on-demand audio and video.

“All of us at Virgin Atlantic are excited to be chosen once again as the official partner for the NFL International Series,” said Chris Rossi, Virgin Atlantic’s Senior Vice President, North America. “We look forward to providing the players, coaches and support teams the outstanding products and services they’ve come to expect and enjoy over the years. And we’re excited to deliver them to London game-ready after a fantastic flight. Virgin Atlantic looks forward to bringing this great American tradition, along with our Red Hot Reporters, to fans on the other side of the Atlantic.”
“We are delighted to continue our relationship with Virgin Atlantic as we prepare for the sixth International Series game in London,” said Chris Parsons, Vice-President of NFL International. “Virgin Atlantic has consistently provided an excellent level of service for our traveling teams and we are excited to be enhancing the partnership to include new initiatives this year.”

Jay Ingber was chosen to be the Rams ‘Red Hot Reporter’ and Erin Sharoni as ‘Red Hot Reporter’ for the Patriots after a nationwide superfan talent search. They will serve as the airline’s football ambassadors and attend practices with the teams and cheer squads, as well as press conferences and parties, chronicling their trip via social media. Jay studied broadcast journalism at the University of Kansas and is a lifelong NFL fan. Erin Sharoni is a sports broadcaster, model and actress, and London is one of her favorite cities in the world. They’re both going to be naturals!
